about Sage

Led by owner Sharon Carole and Executive Chef Christopher Covelli, this historic Mediterranean-style building has been re-designed into an eclectic dining space while retaining the character and integrity of the original Sarasota Times Newspaper building.

The menu is seasonal and globally inspired, combining fresh ingredients and cooking styles from around the world. The aim is to provide a healthy, upscale dining experience for their guests.

Sage features a multi-level dining room with a vintage-style cocktail bar,  3400 sq. ft. of private event space and a covered rooftop lounge with 360° views of downtown Sarasota.

The culinary team at Sage is highly skilled in a variety of cooking styles and techniques. Every dish is handmade, incorporating the freshest ingredients available with the unique flavors and cooking styles of many different countries. With a focus on seasonality, the dining experience will vary with each visit.

Herald-Tribune - Bar Tab

“Sage's strength is it's more intimate but still metropolitan atmosphere. Semi-obscured by bushes, it almost feels like you're relaxing on a friend's swanky apartment roof deck than at a bar.”

Observer Media Group

“...Sage staff unveiled a tantalizing array of Chef Chris Covelli's prototypes of dishes from new, far-flung places that will add even more variety to Sage's global repertoire.”
